Randy Maniloff is a partner at White and Williams, LLP in Philadelphia where he represents insurance companies in coverage disputes. He is an adjunct professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law where he teaches Insurance Law. Randy was named the 2020 and 2026 Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” in Philadelphia for Insurance Law. He has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in insurance, with one source describing him as having "an encyclopedic knowledge of insurance coverage."
Randy is the co-author of General Liability Insurance Coverage - Key Issues in Every State (6th edition), a 1,300 page desk reference book. He publishes Coverage Opinions, a free insurance coverage newsletter, with thousands of subscribers, that reports and provides commentary on just-released coverage decisions and looks at the lighter side of the law.
Randy has written countless articles, for several newspapers, including many for The Wall Street Journal, examining the role of the law in sports, holidays and pop-culture. These articles have explored such things as the law and its connection to Halloween, Christmas movies, Super Bowl commercials, Super Bowl tickets, balloons, dog bites, Elvis Presley, hot dogs, flags, Valentine’s Day and many involving baseball.
Randy enjoys performing stand-up comedy. His only claims to fame are that he was the 2013 winner of Philadelphia radio station WMGK’s Stand-up Comedy Competition and he once did a five-minute set opening for Sebastian Maniscalco at Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia.
